Easter Dresses and Suites

I bought the kids the most adorable clothes for Easter Sunday. Unfortunately the photo shoot was a complete disaster. They were way more into the candy and toys then getting their picture taken.

Easter Morning

Marcus and Maleen woke bright and early easter morning. Marcus hunted down all the eggs and loved the tee ball gear the Easter Bunny brought. Maleen loved her fist taste of chocolate. The Easter Bunny brought her a basket full of goodies, like some new toys, hair bows, pink shoes (which she hated), a new sun dress, and best of all a new girl book.

Coloring Eggs

We talked Great Grandma Tucker into dying eggs with us this year and Aunt Colie was home which made egg dying extra fun. I'm not sure how beautiful the eggs were after being dipped and re-dipped about 10 times each but who cares.

Tee Ball

Marcus had his first Tee Ball game today. I can't believe he is big enough to play. Coach Steve is a great Coach who is teaching them a lot. My Dad described him as a "real Coach". Marcus loves playing. On Friday he said, "I hate Fridays because there is no Tee Ball practice on Friday." He had a large cheering section for the 8:30 AM game. Grandma and Grandpa were there along with his Auntie Colie, Aunt Mel, Fenn, Hazel, Maleen, Dad and Mom.

Fenn wanted to play so bad. It was sad. After Marcus batted he said, "Now I'm gonna put on my helmet and go bat." When his Mom told him he had to be 5 he said for the rest of the game that we was 5. He was such a great fan. After the game he told Marcus "Great game Marcus, good job."

It's Final

We finalized Maleen's adoption in Alabama on Wednesday at the Jefferson County Court House!!!! As Judge Friday put it "She is your baby girl forever." (Imagine it being said with a sweet Southern accent.) We are so grateful that there were no glitches finalizing. Finalizing an adoption is crazy because the process takes a long time and is so emotional and when you finally get to Court it takes about 3 minutes to make it final.

While we were in Alabama we saw Elizabeth and Ben (Maleen's birth parents) and Elizabeth's Mom. We had a great visit. We love them so much and are so grateful they have entrusted us with Maleen.
