Easter Dresses and Suites
I bought the kids the most adorable clothes for Easter Sunday. Unfortunately the photo shoot was a complete disaster. They were way more into the candy and toys then getting their picture taken.
"I'm the smallest guy out there." Marcus commenting on why he has a hard time "crushing" people during football practice
Marcus, "We need 5 brothers and 2 sisters in our family." Dad, "Wow that is going to cost a lot of money." Mom, "and I want a swimming pool ." Marcus, "Mom kids first and then a pool." Later that night while swimming in my cousin's pool, Marcus, "Mom maybe pool fist and then kids."
"I'm not a chick."
Mom, "Marcus did you tell you church class that you went to the temple to have Maleen sealed?" Marcus, "Yes, and I told them I hated it."
Mom, "Rember when Maleen wasn't in our family yet. That was so sad." Marcus, "She was always in our family. She was just waiting for her time to come in Heaven."
Mom, "Good news it's Friday." Marcus, "I hate Fridays." Mom, "Why?" Marcus, "Because there is no t-ball practice."
"Am I her boss" referring to Maleen
"Have you seen my sister yet?" Marcus's fist question when he talked to my on the phone while I was in Alabama.
"It's national camel week. Save the Camels!"
"Grandma can I have an antihistamine"
"I hated floating the river and I am not going to do it again." (When asked how floating the river was at the Eborn Family Reunion
"Remember that time Luke smashed my fingers in his window?"
"I think your baby is going to have those bad fingerprints Aunt Mel." (After one of Mel's early contractions)
"I know Fenn is going to hit me because he smiles." (Don't be alarmed Fenn is his 1 year old cousin)
Favorite Adoption Quotes
A Birthmother puts the needs of her child above the wants of her heart.
When you honor the birth family, you honor the child.
By choice, we have become a family, first in our hearts, and finally in breath and being.
We look at adoption as a very sacred exchange. It was not done lightly on either side. I would dedicate my life to this child.
Time and experience have taught me a priceless lesson, any child you take for your own becomes your own if you give of yourself to that child.
If a child is born and raised in family that is loving and nurturing, where there is complete truth about who we are, you can't give a child any greater place from which to fly.
